Livingston, Texas “” Condemned prisoner Patrick Knight wants to leave them laughing.

Knight acknowledges there’s nothing funny about his likely execution later this month for the fatal shooting of his neighbors, Walter and Mary Werner, almost 16 years ago outside Amarillo. But to help him come up with his final statement, Knight is accepting jokes mailed to him on Texas’ death row or e-mailed to a friend who has a Web site for him. The friend then mails him the jokes. Fla., Pub Reach Deal Over Bathroom Signs

Destin, Fla. (AP) — There is still a place for a little bathroom humor at McGuire’s Irish Pub, under an agreement between the owners of McGuire’s and the state.

http://www.tommcmahon.net/images/uni-race.gifConfusing signs on the bathroom doors at the pub have played jokes on customers for years – sending women to the men’s room and vice versa. The signs have been up for 10 years in Destin and 30 years in Pensacola.

But, Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation recently threatened the Panhandle tourist landmark with closure for “Lack of signage properly designating bathrooms.”

Wheaton, Ill. (AP) — A judge has ordered a 17-year-old to pay a $750 fine and perform 120 hours of community service for contaminating salad dressing with semen and returning it to a suburban Chicago high school’s cafeteria.

DuPage County Judge Terence Sheen also placed Marco Castro on two years probation Wednesday and ordered him to write a letter of apology to Wheaton North High School officials. Castro must complete his community service work for an agency that works with AIDS patients. Read the rest of the story here.
