Frozen Grand Central

From Charlie Todd of Improv Everywhere:

On a cold Saturday in New York City, the world”s largest train station came to a sudden halt. Over 200 Improv Everywhere Agents froze in place at the exact same second for five minutes in the Main Concourse of Grand Central Station.

In other news, we are excited to announce the launch of Improv Everywhere Global, a website for Improv Everywhere Agents to connect, brainstorm, and organize both in New York and the rest of the world.

No Pants 2k8 NYC Reports, January 12, 2008

This afternoon we had around 900 participants in the 7th Annual No Pants Subway Ride. The crowd was so large that we spread out over three subway lines, using the 6 (per tradition), R, and 2 trains. The NYPD was there to escort us just like last year, and they were extremely nice. Everyone ended up together in Union Square for a giant above-ground pantless gathering in the nice 50 degree warmth. If you were there, please take a few moments to leave an agent report in the comments. With 900 riders, I”m sure there are 900 different stories. We will be using this page to compile links to photos and video as it becomes available, and sometime in the next few days we”ll create an official mission report.

Thanks to everyone who came out to participate! If this was your first event, make sure you are on the NY Agents mailing list so you”ll find out about upcoming missions.

Opie & Anthony Assault on the Media

Submitted by Charlie Todd: a video by No Filter Paul from the Opie & Anthony show

Opie and Anthony are shock jocks known for their “cringe” style of entertainment. According to Wikipedia:

The show has few limits, and covers a wide array of topics interactively, with a great deal of time devoted to callers, and sound bites sent in from listeners. With their reemergence on terrestrial radio, however, the trio have been more conscientious about what might be censored. This has led to the “dump report”, an XM segment in which the specific content of censored bits is lamented. Some of the more hardcore O&A fans, nicknamed “Pests”, have been known to go to extreme grassroots efforts to promote the show.
