Random Parade Leader Wanted

Improv Everywhere: Random Parade

For our latest mission, a woman in a marching band uniform stands on the sidewalk with a sign that reads “Parade Leader Wanted.” When a stranger agrees to help out, a huge parade led by a marching band emerges from around the corner and follows him wherever he goes. The band plays “Jingle Bells” and is followed by a cast of characters that includes two yetis, Frosty the Snowman, and two guys holding giant flags that read “Random Parade.”

This mission was made possible by Caring Crowd, a crowd-funding platform where people come together to fund global health projects.

Improv Everywhere: Star Wars Subway Car

New from Charlie Todd of Improv Everywhere:

Star Wars Subway Car

For our latest mission, we staged a reenactment of the first Princess Leia / Darth Vader scene from Star Wars on a New York City subway car. The white walls and sliding doors on the train reminded us of the rebel ship from the movie, and we thought it would be fun to see how people would react to a surprise appearance by the iconic characters. We spread out the actors along the train line, staging it so they would enter the right car at the right time. Enjoy the video first and then go behind-the-scenes for photos and more information.

Party at an unemployment office! / Fiesta en una sucursal del Inem! [English & Spanish]

Fiesta en el Inem / Party at an unemployment office
30 Abril 2009

Fed up with the crisis. Tired of the fear that mass media communicate everyday. Sick of suffering in silence at home, we decided… go dancing at an unemployment office. Here is the result.
