New York: Today’s “Dilbert” strip indirectly refers to the real-life story of an Iowa man fired last year for posting a “Dilbert” strip at the office implying his bosses were “drunken lemurs.”

In the 2007 comic that got the Iowa guy fired, Dilbert asked his garbage collector: “Why does it seem as if most of the decisions in my workplace are made by drunken lemurs?”

Scott Adams’ “Dilbert” strip runs in more than 2,000 newspapers via United Media.
